I work in the psychodynamic framework. This means that in therapy sessions we concentrate on studying the inner-world of the patients and try to understand their difficult and often conflicting feelings. In such a process, by exploring both conscious and unconscious motives of the patient’s behaviour and emotional states, the patient can obtain peace of mind, clarity as well as the possibility to live in a more aware manner.
I am an accredited professional psychotherapist. I abide by a strict code of ethics as prescribed by the professional bodies of which I am a member, which are FPC and UKCP.

What are the types of psychotherapy?
People often ask what is the difference between Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy or counselling and psychotherapy. UKCP provides us with an extensive list of different types of psychotherapy with a comprehensive description of each type. It is crucial that we do understand how these different types of treatment work before we make a decision to embark on one of them.
