I received MA diploma in Psychology at SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities, General Psychology. I also completed a training in Group Analysis in Instytut Rasztow in Warsaw, Poland, and I am currently in the process of obtaining my professional certification. Additional trainings I have completed were introductory training in Couples Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at Tavistock Relationships and Mentalisation Based Treatment for Adolescents in Anna Freud Institute (MBT).
My experience was built up during the internship in charity organisation called ASLAN Association, Warsaw, where I continued to develop my professional skills during the course of my studies. My focal point of interest was working in group modalities with children and adolescents, which I found both challenging and inspiring at the same time. Additionally, I used to organise psychoeducation workshops, workshops on parenting skills, work in individual therapy with young adults. My work was supervised by professional members of Instytut Rasztow, by people who I have great respect for and who I consider personal mentors. I also undertook a three-month placement at Neurosis, Personality and Eating Disorders Clinic, Psychiatry and Neurology Institute in Warsaw. Currently I am a member of Institut of Group Analysis Rasztow, Warsaw, where I have been an active contributor and member of editor team for annual bulletin and author of psychoanalytic papers. I am on a on a final year of WPF training in Individual Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in London and in Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust doing training in couples psychodynamic psychotherapy, which is an extension of my professional skills. I works with Polish and English speaking clients in individual psychotherapy both face-to-face and on Skype , with couoples and adolescents in my private consulting room.
In the course of my own personal development I learned that any kind of change in our life plans, even the one seen as adverse, is a combination of risks and opportunities, losses and gains, and it takes both courage and determination to make use out of it.In my spare time I practice Yoga and Mindfulness, which I find both comforting and grounding, I am also a huge enthusiast of trekking, I love exploring new lands which is linked with my passion for travelling. When I cannot go further away, I do a lot of local public walks in Sussex, taking my dog with me whenever its possible, as he is always happy to keep me a company.
